Mariah Carey reveals her 12-year twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with her ex-husband Nick Cannon
Christmas is being spent by Mariah Carey with her kids.
The music star, 54, posted many Instagram images on Christmas Eve depicting her holiday celebrations, including a snow-filled sleigh ride featuring her twins Monroe and Moroccan, 12.
“<❄️❄️🎵”Come on, it’s fantastic weather for a sleigh ride together with you🎵❄️,” Carey said in a caption to her Christmas Eve image, repeating words from the Christmas classic “Sleigh Ride.”
Moroccan can be seen in Carey’s post sitting in front of his mother covered in black snow gear on the sleigh, while Monroe can be seen grinning from a seat behind Mariah as the mother-daughter team matched with pink coats.
On Instagram Sunday, Carey also posted a funny video poking lighthearted fun at the popularity of her 1994 Christmas song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The clip depicts Monroe, Moroccan, and Mariah standing in front of a Christmas tree while the youngsters playfully ask they do not want to participate in another video referencing the song.
“It’s just being festive,” Carey says in the video, then breaks into the opening chords of her famous Christmas song as her children hurry out of the picture. “Had to complete it! Christmas Eve’s happy! 🎄❤️ “She said in a caption.”
Recently, Carey—who lives with Monroe and Moroccan—along with her ex-husband Nick Cannon—brought the pair to the White House to meet Biden. Pictures from the Oval Office show the group conversing with Biden, 81, and meeting Vice President Kamala Harris. Carey posted on Instagram.
“Last week was great to visit the White House with President Biden and Vice President Harris to ring in the holidays! We saw all the Christmas décor and cheered some while there! 🎄❄️ Carey mentioned in a caption to that post. While they spoke with Biden in the Oval Office, Monroe and Mariah could be seen holding hands.
On April 30, Monroe and Moroccan will mark their 13th birthdays; she told PEOPLE back in October that seeing the duo mature into young adults is “actually really beautiful.”
She said then, “They’re good, nice kids.” “They’re kind people, and I really enjoy being around them and watching them grow up into the people they’re ultimately going to be.”
