Mariah Carey ‘Counts On’ Christmas Season Despite Financial Troubles: ‘It’s A Key Part Of Her Income’

Although Mariah Carey could see herself as the Queen of Christmas, her connection to the season goes beyond mere title. Unnamed sources claim that right now it is a financial lifeline.
For her financially, this is now a pivotal time of year. Along with holiday-oriented events and merchandise, her income comes mostly from “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which tops the charts every December. Mariah counts on Christmas, not just looks forward for! told Life & Style Magazine an unidentified insider.

Undescribed informants, however, pointed out something melancholy about it. “The holiday magic has become more about dollars than cheer,” a close friend of Mariah said.
People Magazine announced earlier this week that Mariah’s sister Alison and mother Patricia passed away on the same day.

“Losing my mother this past weekend breaks my heart. Tragically, in a terrible turn of circumstances, my sister passed away on the same day,” the Grammy-winning singer, 55, said in a statement.

“I count it a gift that I could spend the last week with my mother before she departed. I value everyone’s affection and respect for my privacy during this tough period, Mariah said.

Regarding other facts, particularly the causes of Patricia and Alison’s deaths, nothing is known at the moment.

Prior to the arrival of their children Alison, Mariah, and Morgan, Patricia, who had previously been married to Alfred Roy Carey, had a professional career as a voice instructor and opera singer who had received training at Juilliard. Later on, the three-year-old “Hero” singer’s parents split up and filed for divorce.

Mariah’s connection with her mother, from whom she developed her singing ability, was turbulent all her childhood.

“Like many facets of my life, my path with my mother has been one of paradoxes and conflicting realities. It’s never been just black-and- white; it’s been a complete rainbow of emotions,” Mariah wrote in her 2020 biography, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey.”

“Our relationship is a prickly rope of pride, anguish, guilt, thanksfulness, jealousy, respect, and disappointment. A complicated love tethers my heart to my mother’s,” Mariah continued.

Mariah and her mother continued to have a relationship despite the difficulties that they encountered together. As part of the “Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You” special that aired on ABC in 2010, the two of them collaborated to perform a joyful rendition of “O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujah Chorus.”

Patricia was also a part of Mariah’s memoir, which she dedicated in part. “And to Pat, my mother, who, through it all, I do believe actually did the best she could. I will love you the best I can, always,” she wrote.

Additionally, Mariah’s connection with Alison was of a very complicated kind. During the time period in question, the celebrity stated in the memoir that it was “emotionally and physically safer for me not to have any contact” with either her or Morgan.
